Today, I interviewed with Costco. I didn't know what to expect, but was able to go through three interviews. They basically will give me the job once my background check comes through.. It's hard to accept that I'll be working retail, but this is where I am. I'm thankful to even have a car to get to work, a place to stay, and opportunities like this although it may not be ideal. Thank you.

Day:22 thankful
After spending so much time applying for jobs, I'm realizing I'm thankful for this period of patience because I'm breaking free from my fear in failure and rejection through this process. My soul identity and security should be on Him alone! Thank you God for unveiling parts of my heart that need healing through this tough season and strengthening all areas of my life.

Day 12: retreat
Church at the cabin was such a good time and organic. To experience this beauty in nature makes me appreciate God and his creations.
Day 11: retreat
I'm grateful for the time spent with the Kaleo fam this weekend. To spend time with them, esp the kids in the outdoor.
Day 10: Susana
I'm thankful for my friendship with Susana. I've known her since college and she's always encouraged me. And observing her life before marriage, married and now with a child is amazing. God, may you bless her and flourish her.
Day 9: sister #1
Thankful for the heart of my sister. She comes with me to help when I'm stubborn and plead. Always willing to help me even when we clash.
That night we even had a huge argument about her decisions. I may try to enforce myself too much on others I care for but we were able to be more understanding of each other.

Day 8: walking
I was so grateful to see joon finally walking. To witness his growth from 6 months to 1 year and 2 months. Developmental in a child is beautiful.

Day 2: Snow day
Today, snowed even more. Huge icicles in front of our house! There was still snow piled up, but the sun came out late afternoon. The parents and I shoveled the snow. It was the fun. Picture on the top right cracked me up because umma looked like she crossed the Tumen River. Haha. Even shoveling snow together was good time well spent. Then, bought some yarn to knit a scarf for Jackie.
Day7: car
This photo has nothing to do with the car but it was from today (jan 7). There was so much snow getting to and from work that I was almost stuck. I felt like giving up and honestly felt like saying, "if only a guy could help me. Please!" But I remembered I had 4 wheel drive that i recently learned how to use and it got me out quick. Thankful for a car in this terrible weather that I don't have to drive around everywhere and for 4 wheel drive where I'm not stuck.

Day 6: Mary Poppins
Today after staying at the Morenos again, I was invited to the movies to watch with the pastors' family. We watched Saving Mr. Banks and it was great fellowship. It reminded me again of community and family. This weekend has been a reflection of family and how to apply that to my own family and future family.

Day 5: Kaleo
Today, it snowed again. So it was cold, but it was nice going to church with a family (Morenos) and not having to drive and park by myself in this horrible weather. Church was really intimate in the basement. The Spirit really moved and spoke to us about a culture of repentance. Renewing our heart for this new year with a clean slate. Then after we went over to the pastor's place to celebrate Carlos' and to break bread together. It was a great time to fellowship with the women; it was very intimate. We laughed and talked while the men watched football.
Today helped me realize that I'm really grateful for Kaleo, a church community I have wanted for the longest time. It may not be what I thought I wanted with a young community to have friends my age, but I'm blessed to grow together with them and learn with them. Although most of the women are married, I know they will be excited to walk with me in my journey when the time comes to have a boyfriend. I'm really thankful for them.

Day 4: flushed away
Today I watched the kids again, but they were so cute. Even though they may be a handful sometimes, they do behave well. I'm grateful.
After, I came to the Morenos to stay the night so I don't have to drive back in this snow. I'm grateful for their community and having movie nights watching Flushed Away.
Day3: babysitting
Yesterday, I watched the kids again with my sister. They are so cute. Jun was so tired he knocked out like this. Even though this job isn't ideal, I'm grateful that it's a flexible job and that I even have a job that pays the bills.

Day 1: New Years
Ddukgook. Snowed so much. Went on a trek to take winter photos around the house. Mom, dad and Junghae played Korean games while Eunhye and I watched Forest Gump.
